Young Hospitality Heroes
​Young Hospitality Heroes is an exciting Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative designed to empower disadvantaged youth aged 15 to 19. Over a 12-week journey, participants will complete a nationally recognised Certificate II in Hospitality while building essential employability skills and real-world experience. The program combines hands-on hospitality training with team-building activities, confidence building, and personalised support to help young people smoothly transition into the workforce. Whether it’s mastering customer service, working effectively in a team, or gaining practical café and restaurant skills, Young Hospitality Heroes sets participants on the path to meaningful, long-term employment.

WHAT TO EXPECT

What to expect from this FREE PROGRAM

Complete a Certificate II in hospitality

Pre Employment support, including resume, cover letter, interview preparation and more

Workplace visits
-
Lunch every day
-
Team building exerices, including “Bounce” and “Story Bridge Climb”.

Case management to transition to employment

Assistance with referring you through to mental health, housing, drug and alcohol and other community providers to address your support needs.

Training hours: 9:00am-2:30pm, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week
Length: 12 weeks - in classroom, kitchen and employer visits.
